At Image & Me, we know most clients seek understated elegance — timeless, versatile looks that feel effortless for both work and life. That’s why personalised wardrobe styling service is at the heart of what we do: translating fashion trends into outfits that are authentic, wearable, and right for you. For the SG60 style portraits, we applied that same approach — curating to fit the brief. This time, the brief was different: to celebrate Singapore’s icons with looks that were vibrant, youthful, and full of character. It gave us the chance to push colour and pattern in joyful ways — echoing the runway’s eccentric layering trend — while ensuring every outfit remained harmonious and true to the individual.
Captured beautifully by WilzWorkz, here’s how we built each look:
Adrian Pang – Artistic Director, Pangdemonium Theatre
A masterclass in confident play. His green-and-white striped blazer sits over a pastel base, paired with electric blue trousers and vivid green sneakers. The pink accent doesn’t just add colour — it unites the whole look, softening bold contrasts and creating rhythm.

Tip: In Singapore’s heat, skip the scarf or jacket — use a bold belt, sneakers, or even eyewear as the “bridge” piece that pulls contrasting colours together without adding layers.
Ong Bee Yan – Founder of Fashion for Cancer
Streetwear reimagined with sophistication. A yellow jersey layered under a blue plaid coat, paired with lilac joggers, strikes an unexpected but harmonious balance. Her silver hair becomes the ultimate accessory, anchoring the look and showing that youthful style is about spirit, not age.

Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix plaids or checks with graphics — the contrast works best when one print is bold and the other more structured, creating a deliberate clash that feels modern.
Daisy Irani Subaiah – Founder and Creative Director HuM Theatre, SIFAS Chairman ( community engagement)
Clad in a luminous saffron sari with metallic blouse, Daisy radiates joy and strength. The sari’s warm tones are echoed in her gold jewellery, while sculptural earrings modernise the look. The layering here is tonal — silk, metallics, and matte textures — creating depth without overwhelming.

Tip: Work within one colour family but vary the textures — silk, matte, metallic — for richness without visual clutter.
Zuraidah Abdullah – CEO, Yayasan Mendaki
Her look is a study in playful harmony. A luminous satin blouse with puffed sleeves under a lemon-yellow knit vest creates warmth, while a pleated green skirt adds freshness. The tropical-print scarf ties the colours together, and neon sneakers inject a contemporary jolt.

Tip: To make bright pieces wearable, repeat the same shades in smaller accents (scarf, shoes, accessories) so the palette feels intentional.
Mdm Foo Kui Lian– Founder of the popular Tian Tian Chicken Rice Stall
A pastel pink shirt becomes the perfect canvas for cheerful layers of chunky beads in red, orange, and pearl. The accessories inject warmth and playfulness, transforming simplicity into something celebratory.

Tip: If you prefer softer clothing colours, use bold jewellery to add personality without overpowering your look.
Why These Looks Work
The secret is intention. Colours are bold but never random — they echo, repeat, and contrast to create harmony. Patterns and textures may clash, but always with balance. That’s the essence of eccentric layering: personality expressed through joyful combinations, where apparent chaos resolves into style.
